Costume Designs
Connie is modeling a Medieval Costume for a photo shoot in Florida. This Costume Design was also worn at the Romantic Times Magazine Convention in Kansas City, Missouri for a Costume Ball.
This Medieval Costume is constructed of Crushed Red Velvet which is cross-dyed with black threading which gives the velvet a mottled look. The inset is a beautiful Metallic Brocade. The Brocade is dotted with AB Ruby Stones. Lace Appliques adorn the bodice with Gold Metallic Lace as the collar. In between the Lace Appliques is
a Crystal Iron Cross. The Gold Metallic Lace of the collar is covered with Austrian Crystal Aurora Borealis and Austrian Crystal Ruby Stones. From the tip of each lace point is beading which consists of Gold Rocaille Beads, a 2" Ruby Bugle
and a Ruby Crystal Teardrop. The cuffs are Red Silk Dupioni edged with Gold Metallic Lace. Gold Metallic Lace follows the curve of the waist. A Red Crystal Stoned Broach lays at the point of the V waistline and has hand beaded Rocaille Beads with Austrian Crystal Ruby Teardrops attached. Gold braiding edges the overskirt and hem.
Not shown is a matching cape made of the same material as the Metallic Brocade Insert. The whole pattern is covered with Aurora Borealis Ruby Stones. The cape attaches across the shoulders and the hem sweeps the floor.
Connie will have several Costume Designs at the next Romantic Times Magazine Convention being held in May, 2006 in Daytona, Florida.
